Join artists Holly Ewald and Erik Ruin as they present and discuss their collaborative work to tell the story of the Urban Pond Procession in graphic form. The project, supported by Artists in Context and funded by the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation?, delineates the breadth and depth of the creative process that brought UPP into being. The graphic illustrates the complex network of relationships required to keep the project sustainable and an ongoing asset to the larger Providence community. It plots the process of the Urban Pond Procession from an individual artist's attempt to create informative signage to a thriving community celebration and a collective process. It attempts to simultaneously depict the procession, the process of building and evolving it, and the larger historical/environmental/social landscape it weaves its way through.

Also at the diner willl be an installation by Jay Peters and Paul Scharf, with detailed maps, drawn by children, which identify by name all of the lakes and ponds in the area. These will suspend from the ceiling along side photos and fish costumes, immersing the viewer in water - or the spirit thereof.
