Saturday, May 7 12:00pm - 1:00pmWaterWalkerCrop
Bad Little Falls Park and Machias Valley Grange Hall
1 Elm St. Machias, ME

Please Join us for a short and VERY special Potluck & Picnic to WELCOME and SEND OFF the EASTERN DIRECTION WATER WALKERS as they begin their incredible and historic journey , from Bad Little Falls, in Machias all the way to Bad River, Wisconsin!

The 2011 Water Walk is carrying water from all four directions of the Continent this Spring.. Water is being ceremonially collected from the Atlantic, Pacific, Arctic, and Gulf of Mexico. They will be walking equivalent to a marathon every day, and will continue to do so for 65 days until they reach Bad River, Wisconsin on June 12, where the Atlantic Ocean salt water they carry will merge with the other waters being carried from the other directions.

This is a monumental effort, that deserves lots of love and support! And it's starting right here in Machias! We hope you will join us for the special moment on Saturday when we have the opportunity to give them a warm send off on their long and important journey!

Bring a potluck dish and/or a hungry belly if you'd like. Also, gifts of pennies, gas cards & trail snacks are welcomed!

Please call the Beehive if you'd like to know more. 207-669-4117 Free housing is available for those coming from away!
