Geographer and AIC Co-Director Marie Cieri will lead a workshop on nontraditional mapping techniques and theory. Discussion will engage participants in different ways of looking at the many landscapes we inhabit (as nature, problem, economics, etc). DIY mapping projects will help participants create tools to respond to hegemonic power. Participants will receive readings on the history of mapping and current alternative mapping examples.
This workshop is part of SEE/SAW, a mapping project and oral history walking tour accessed via cell phone. SEE/SAW is a project of L/A/N/D, a collaborative endeavor by C3 and Montview Neighborhood Farm.
